PADI Advanced Diver certification requires a series of five (5) dives -- some are done from the beach, others must be done from a boat. To be certified as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver you must:
… be certified as a PADI Open Water Diver, or equivalent.
… complete an Underwater Navigation Dive, a Deep Dive, and three (3) of the following adventure dives: AWARE Fish ID, Boat, Multilevel and Computer, Night, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Search and Recovery, Photography, Wreck.
PADI Specialty certifications are offered for Enriched Air, Underwater Photography, Search & Recovery, Night, Deep, Navigator, Wreck.
