Kosrae

Kosrae, Micronesia

Situated atop the equator in the western Pacific,
Kosrae (pronounced ko-SHRI) is called "The Jewel of Micronesia" -
a moniker that reflects the majesty its island's verdant rainforests,
old-growth mangroves and pristine underwater landscape.

The island is ringed by a ruggely beautiful reef system comprised
of sharp ridges and deep ravines, all draped in a multitude of
densely-packed hard and soft corals, sponges and anemones - home to an
amazing array of tropical fish - most within reach of even novice divers.
