North Carolina

The waters off North Carolina's coast are known as
"The Graveyard of the Atlantic" -- reference to the hundreds of ships
that have sunk there since the 16th century. Seafaring victims of colliding
ocean currents, shifting sandbars and the ravages of war, "The Graveyard"
offers an enormous variety of diving and photographic opportunities,
from Civil War wrecks to German u-boats; tugs to trawlers - of which
all have become a thriving artificial reef.
